The massive Durga Puja Pandal took a month to complete and is situated near a street crossing in full view of passers-by. Usually, a building like Pandal is based on the facade of some landmark building of the world. Crowds throng the Durga Puja Pandals throughout the five days of Durga Puja celebrations. Normally, all establishments are closed for the annual Durga Puja festival.
Below is a close-up side view of the Durga Puja Pandal at Chandni Chowk. The entire Pandal is a wooden structure and adorned by light-weight materials and fittings. The awesome structure is of intricate design and immaculately assembled and speaks volumes of the expertise and skill of the carpenters and craftsmen who labour for a month to put it up.
